Bourguignon sauce has much too long a name with too many consonants.
It reminds me of Gewurztraminer.
People do not order it because they cannot pronounce it.
This sauce has a base of red wine (Messina Hof of course) with shallots, parsley, thyme and bay leaf.
The ingredients are reduced and mixed with some Espagnole sauce.
Great with red wines of all types.
