Make the Most of Your Bottle of Bubbly!

Sparkling wines continue to grow in popularity, and why wouldn’t they? Fizzy and refreshing, it pairs well with almost any dish. Plus it adds something extra special to gatherings, from football tailgates to a girl’s night out.

Here are a few tips for making the most of your sparkling wine…

  1. Before you pour, store the wine correctly. Keep the wine laying horizontally in a cool place with little temperature variation. Avoid direct sunlight and outside walls.
  2. Serve at the correct temperature – ice cold! If possible, put your bottle in the freezer about an hour before drinking to reach the ideal serving temperature of between 42 and 52 °F. No time to cool your wine? Click here to see our wine hack!
  3. Drink from a flute! Flutes are specially designed to help retain the carbonation as long as possible.
  4. Let’s face it, you’re not always going to finish that bottle of bubbly… so invest in a champagne stopper! This little gadget creates an airtight seal for your sparkling wine allowing it to remain fresher longer.
