Brr, it’s cold outside, so wine not warm up with some delicious Mulled Wine? “Mulled” means heated or spiced and typically features ingredients like cinnamon, cloves, and honey. This drink is traditionally served during the winter months and is a favorite at the winery. Here’s how to make this warm treat…
1 bottle of Messina Hof wine (Beau, Riesling, or Port are great options!)
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 bag of Wine Country Mulling Spices
3 whole cinnamon sticks
2 oranges, cut in half
Put wine, sugar, and mulling spices in crockpot. Leave spices in the bag with the cork. Squeeze the juice from the oranges and add peels to the pot. Simmer slowly for at least an hour; do not boil. The longer the better! Tip: Add a splash of Brandy for a little extra holiday spirit!
